Meet Our Leadership

Robbyne Sudduth

Founder and Board Chair

Robbyne Sudduth is a sales strategist that has played a vital role in the revenue growth of rising technology firms and Fortune 500 companies. With over 20 years of experience, Robbyne’s success is rooted in her ability to form strong relationships with her clients and in-depth knowledge of her product line. Roobyn has been a lead team member at Hewlett Packard and Xerox Corporation. She now serves as a Sales Executive at Johnson Controls. Robbyne is an author, releasing her first children’s book, Counting is Fun: Let’s Count to Ten!, in 2020. She firmly believes in the importance of early childhood education as the foundation and launch pad for future success. Robbyne serves as board secretary of Inspired2Care, Inc. Robbyne anticipates completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management from Mercy College in 2022.

Brian Pointer

Vice Chair

Brian Pointer is a tele-sales and communications executive with over 20 years of direct experience. Brian trains, coaches and overseas the customer service call center for the Lansing, MI satellite office of Ayers Basement Systems. Brain is a creative with a passion for technology and a critical thinker. Over his expansive career, Brian has led customer service facilities for Fortune 500 Companies including Pitney Bowes Management. In addition, Brian managed clinical customer service calls for a team of 15 at Innovation, Inc. Brian developed and implemented procedural manuals for staff operation and onboards. He is a passionate creative and believes in writing your vision down and making it plain so the father can direct your path. Brain holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. In addition to an Associates from Lansing Community College.

Colfam Sudduth

Treasurer

Coleman Sudduth is successful entrepreneur with expertise in Business Technology and Civic Engagement. Coleman led the Project Aide Program that centered on social service delivery, citizen inclusion, and rehabilitation for the Model Cities Program – a Federal Agency. For 25 years, Coleman excelled at the McFadden Corporation as a lead sales specialist. Coleman than opened and retired from Coleman Associates (1988-2013), which provided business technology services as a Xerox Premier Authorized Agent. Coleman serves on several notable boards and lends his leadership to support Community, Christian and Inter-faith collaborations. He matriculated at Michigan State University, majoring in Social Work.

 

Jenny Melo

Secretary

Jenny Melo is an enthusiastic educator and youth advocate that believes in the potential of every child. After 15 years of classroom experience, Jenny knows how to create a fun, innovative and interactive space where children can actively participate in the learning experience. Jenny has played a critical role in shaping the minds of the future including developing performance arts based programs for summer school enrichment and community clubs. She understands the intricacies and reality of what it takes to create positive change beginning with a child, then the family and ultimately, the community. Jenny’s service motto is “Education and love go hand in hand achieving successful results”. Jenny earned her Bachelors in Early Childhood Education from Inca Garcilaso De La Vega Private University.

Darlene Bruner-Embry

Board Member

Darlene Bruner-Embry is a Provider Consultant for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). In addition, she is an Ordained Minister and serves in multiple leadership roles at Doors of Healing Tabernacle. With 40 years of exceptional service to the State of Michigan. Darlene’s field of expertise lies with the Medicaid Program where she serves as a unit lead and subject matter expert in policy workgroups. Darlene provides leadership in an array of areas from policy development to virtual trainings to billing integrity assessments. Her motto is “never give up on anyone; while there is breath, there is hope.” Darlene matriculated at Michigan State University, in East Lansing, Michigan.

Joy Sudduth

Executive Director

 Joy attended the University of Michigan for her graduate and undergraduate work, graduating cum laude with a Master Degree in Public Policy. She also studied/trained in classical theatre at the Sorbonne (Paris, France.) Joy is a working actress based in New York NY. She has applied her talent to projects in theater, the big screen and television. She can be seen in Gotham, Power, Escape at Dannemora, and The Village. Joy actively gives back. She has volunteered at Jordan Locke High School in Los Angeles, working with youth in computer and math sciences. More recently, she dedicates time to feeding transient community in NYC with Xavier Mission. Joy will apply her industry experience through the development of youth programs that integrate performing arts and promote creativity at the Colfam Sudduth Foundation.
